The Princess of Wales planted a wild cherry tree in Dean’s Yard to honour Queen Elizabeth before the holiday service. Kate is seen digging around the tree in wedding images. It’s part of the Queen’s Green Canopy, a project to celebrate her Platinum Jubilee that saw one million trees planted.

A inscription next to the tree reads, “This wild cherry tree, a gift from the Duchy of Cornwall, was dedicated to Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on 14 December 2022.”

Paddington Bear ornaments adorned Westminster Abbey’s Christmas trees. Queen Elizabeth became nicknamed as Paddington Bear during her June Platinum Jubilee skit. Nearly 1,000 Paddington and teddy bears were placed outside her London and Windsor residences after she died.
