After the Royal Family’s Christmas supper at Sandringham, Kate Middleton may have been requested to weigh herself, according to an odd royal custom, according to News AU.

In accordance with a custom historically upheld by the late Queen Elizabeth, it has been suggested that the Princess of Wales and her husband Prince William may have been requested by King Charles to step on the scales over the holiday.

Moreover, according to News AU, in his first Christmas as king, King Charles had intended to invite Kate and William to participate in the very odd Christmas custom.

The custom was originally mentioned by royal analyst Ingrid Seward in 2018, who claimed that the late Queen would invite “each of her visitors to stand on the scales,” and that while this may have put some people in an awkward situation, it was all in good fun and done to make sure the guests were “well fed.”
