Maximilian, Margrave of Baden, who was King Charles’s first cousin, died at the age of 89.

Max Markgraf von Baden, who was the nephew of the late Prince Philip, died early Thursday morning at Salem Castle in Germany.

He was the head of the House of Baden since 1963. His mother, Princess Theodora of Greece and Denmark, was Philip’s older sister.

A statement said: “Max Margrave of Baden died in the early morning hours of December 29, 2022 in Salem Castle.

“Since 1963, Max Margrave of Baden was head of the house at the head of the formerly ruling Grand Ducal Baden Princely House, which from 1112 to 1918 provided the sovereigns in the Baden part of today’s federal state of Baden-Württemberg.

“His successor as head of the House of Baden is Bernhard Margrave of Baden, the previous hereditary prince.”

There will be two funerals for the businessman. On one, friends and coworkers will be invited, while on the other, family members and political leaders will be there.

Max Markgraf von Baden was born in 1933, and he grew up in Germany near Lake Constance.

Experts say that Louis did something touching for “awkward” Camilla at Christmas.

After the Second World War, he went to Gordonstoun boarding school in Scotland, just like King Charles and Prince Philip.

In the early 1960s, he got engaged to his first cousin, Princess Beatrix of Hohenlohe-Langenburg. However, in 1961, they broke up.

He got married to Archduchess Valerie of Austria in 1966, after being together for a few years. They had four kids, and they also had four grandchildren.
