Marvel announced Disney+ documentary for Stan Lee’s 100th birthday
Marvel has promised a Disney+ documentary about the comic genius, on the occasion of Stan Lee’s 100th birthday.
The teaser, titled Stan Lee, was first shared on Instagram on December 29, with the remark, “100 years of wishing. A century of creation. Stan Lee has been around for 100 years.”
The documentary will honour Stan Lee’s legacy as a comic-book writer, editor, publisher, and co-creator of renowned characters like as Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Black Panther, Hulk, X-Men, Thor, Silver Surfer, Ant-Man, Nick Fury, and others, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Lee, who died in November 2018 at the age of 95, began working in the comic book industry in 1939 and became a publisher in 1972. Throughout his career, he made numerous cameo cameos in Marvel films and television shows.
“Stan Lee was as extraordinary as the characters he created,” stated Disney CEO Bob Iger in a statement following Lee’s death.
Marvel has a 20-year agreement with Stan Lee Universe that allows it to utilise Lee’s name and likeness in films and other Marvel productions.
