Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One‘, the most anticipated movie teases one of the riskiest feats performed by the renownedly committed action hero.

A new behind-the-scenes documentary examining the creation of one of Cruise’s most audacious stunts to date has just been released by Paramount Pictures.

The brand-new stunt was developed for the much anticipated movie, which is scheduled for theatre release on July 14, 2023.

The opening of the featurette is a threatening overhead picture of a ship sliding over a cliff at Hellesylt, Norway. Over the rocky ledge, a long ramp curves up, looking over a steep drop.

In the voice-over, Cruise asserts, “This is by far the most risky thing we have ever undertaken.” After that, Cruise goes into detail about how the prank was set up precisely and how it had been planned for years. The complicated feat begins with a motorcycle chase over a precipice and ends with a jump. All of this will take place on some of the world’s most treacherous and stunning terrain.

The process of pulling off this risky yet thrilling new action is then described as the featurette transitions into the iconic Mission: Impossible theme. And it appears that Cruise has taken the reins when it comes to coordinating stunts.

The movie’s director, Christopher McQuarrie, stated that Cruise was in charge of assembling the specialists required to carry out such a dangerous task.

The featurette does not downplay Cruise’s commitment to performing stunts. It is evident that Cruise’s commitment goes beyond mere words when he uses his ears to judge the speed of his motorcycle and when he flies over cardboard-filled quarries using nothing but a wire to maintain himself in the air.

It all boils down to the audience, according to Cruise. And after four years since the first announcement, the new movie will finally hit theatres, allowing the public to witness the results of the film crew’s labour.

Naturally, Cruise is the lead in the newest movie. Along with others, his co-stars Simon Pegg and Vanessa Kirby are present once more.

Along with complex stunt work, the COVID-19 pandemic made it difficult to film the movie. However, it appears that Cruise and his team have accomplished the (mission) impossible despite all of those mitigating factors.
