Noah Centineo knew from a young age that he wanted to be an actor, but he was shocked by how quickly he became known.

Centineo says of the Netflix hit that led to two sequels, “It was rare for me to be a part of something that had such an impact.” “I’m happy that everyone liked it. It was great.”

The Recruit is a Netflix thriller about an international spy. It stars a 26-year-old actor who was praised for his role in Black Adam.

When I was done with romantic comedies, I wanted to do action.

“The Recruit came about because of a superhero role. My character is an outsider in an action show, which I thought was a cool way to keep the feel of a romantic comedy.”

Centineo thinks back to when he was just starting out as an actor in Hollywood. Centineo moved to Los Angeles because he had a recurring role on the TV show Austin & Ally.

He met up with other actors. After becoming a part of the culture, Centineo tried drugs and alcohol. “I have hazy feelings of longing for the time when I fell in love and woke up on friends’ couches. High school student who acts like an adult.”

In 2015, Centineo got a job on The Fosters, where he made some changes. “I was with people who took the craft more seriously than my old network, and the money started coming in,” he says. “I gave up my former lifestyle”

Centineo has no plans to slow down. “I want to run,” he laughs. “I’m all set to run!”

In The Recruit, Centineo plays a CIA lawyer-in-training who is involved in a scandal that threatens CIA secrecy. Owen Hendricks (Centineo) is in the middle when a former agent asks him for information that will help her get out of jail.
