The official trailer for ‘Maybe I Do’, which has a star-studded cast amidst various family secrets, has been released. In the movie, Emma Roberts and Luke Bracey, who previously worked together on the romantic comedy Holidate, play a young couple trying to mend their relationship.

The tale revolves around Roberts and Bracey’s characters, Michelle and Allen, who, following a recent argument, decide to move toward marriage and host both of their parents for dinner.

The invitation, however, takes a dramatic turn when it is revealed in the trailer that the two sets of parents, as portrayed by Diane Keaton, Richard Gere, Susan Sarandon, and William H. Macy, are already acquainted thanks to prior relationships.

The parents must advise the young pair as they try to keep their secrets from one another as the night begins to go south. Will everything go properly at the dinner, and will Michelle and Allen be able to wed? When the movie actually comes out, only time will tell.

Based on the trailer’s video, Maybe I Do seems to offer viewers a lighthearted and maybe interesting story that can highlight the endearing and comic talents of its all-star cast.

The great ensemble and innovative storyline might boost the movie and add a tonne of fresh laughs at a time when romantic comedies are enjoying a comeback.

In his first full-length film directing role, Michael Jacobs also wrote the screenplay. Together with Scott Mednick and Vincent Newman, he produces the project.

Roberts has recently been in a number of romantic comedies, including the recently released Holidate and the earlier this year released About Fate.

She will star in Madame Web with Dakota Johnson after Maybe I Do premieres, and then Liz W. Garcia’s comedy Space Cadet will be released. Along with the reunion of Roberts and Bracey, the 1977 film Looking for Mr. Goodbar co-stars Gere and Keaton also reunite in Maybe I Do.

When Maybe I Do premieres next month, it will be intriguing to see if it can provide a fun new story for aficionados of the genre despite reunions and mayhem.

The movie Maybe I Do will debut on January 27, 2023. See the movie’s official trailer and summary below.

‘Maybe I Do’ summary:

‘Maybe I Do is a multi-generational romance comedy starring Diane Keaton, Richard Gere, Susan Sarandon, Emma Roberts, Luke Bracey, and William H. Macy. Allen (Bracey) and Michelle (Roberts) are at the stage in their relationship where they can begin the process of getting married. A dinner is planned, and the games start when they decide it would be a good idea to finally invite their parents to meet. To everyone’s astonishment, the parents are already very familiar with one another, perhaps even a little too well, which has led to clear, certain, and humorous opinions regarding the worth of marriage.’
