Scotty McCreery’s great year came to a close when he spent his first Christmas as a dad. The country singer, who is 29 years old, and his wife Gabi showed off their 9-week-old son Merrick Avery in a family holiday card they posted on Instagram on Saturday.

In the cute picture, the new parents are holding their son between them. They call him Avery, which is his middle name. Gabby wore a chocolate-colored dress for the family picture, and McCreery wore a pullover sweater in the same colour.

The parents matched their Christmas tree, which was full of ornaments that went together. They captioned the Instagram photo: “Favorite Christmas cards yet.”
