Shakira travelled to Dubai with her children to spend her first Christmas apart from ex-boyfriend Gerard Pique.

The Waka Waka singer used Instagram to provide her 77.9 million fans a preview of her vacation with her sons, Sasha and Milan.

A huge bird had perched on Shakira’s hand and she was wearing a scarf over her head in the image.

Her sons, who were wearing traditional Arabic attire and sporting white shemaghs on their heads, were also visible in the photo.

The Columbian singer’s caption said, “In the desert this Christmas, searching for serenity.”

Shakira first celebrated Christmas without Pique, with whom she broke up in June of this year without giving any explanation for their dramatic split.

Following the signing of a custody agreement for their children, Shakria and Pique’s children will follow their mother to Miami after the New Year.

After their trip to Dubai, Shakira will drop her sons off to Pique’s residence so they may spend the New Year with him.
