Tori Spelling faced  health issues before the holidays.

The former Beverly Hills actress, 49, uploaded a selfie from a hospital bed on Wednesday, stating she had dizziness and trouble breathing. “Here I am in [the] hospital since late last night,” she tweeted, via US Weekly. “To those who gas lit me while I was too sick to work, here I am.”

Spelling responded to critics by suggesting they take people at face value and demonstrate kindness. “Not working is a nightmare for me. I’m hard-working. Always work.” The Spelling It Like It Is author’s symptoms include “hard breathing, elevated blood pressure, and dizziness.”

She wants to “go home to my kids.” Spelling has five children with Dean McDermott: Beau, 5, Finn, 10, Liam, 15, Hattie, 11, and Stella, 14. Spelling discusses her health on social media.

In February, she posted on Instagram that she was planning to get her breast implants repaired after learning that the ones she got 20 years ago could create health concerns and needed to be replaced. “Young, I got them. Stella, Spelling’s oldest, followed up after she described the matter to her. “When my daughter said, “Mom, I’m worried,” it hit home. You delayed. You’ve said for years that you need new breasts.”

Spelling knew in the years since the FDA’s 2011 recommendation that “the longer a woman has silicone gel-filled breast implants, the more probable she is to have local issues,” but “put it off” for years.

With more women deciding to have their implants removed and the FDA warning that they could cause cancer, Spelling says she can’t wait any longer.

“It’s safer for health now,” she stated. Scar tissue can cause long-term health problems. “Stella asked, ‘Are you finishing?’ Why wasn’t I doing it?” she said. “My kids are my major priority. This year, surgery and health are priorities. Because self-care is OK. It’s for them, ultimately.”
