Aubrey Plaza is practicing. The White Lotus actress, 38, meets up with the SNL audience’s Chloe Fineman in a new advertisement for her hosting role on the programme. Fineman asks Plaza how she feels before the night.

She then assumes the role of Marcia Gay Harden in Pollack to the fullest, raising her voice, gesturing with a passionate hand motion toward Fineman.

The Emily the Criminal actress responds, “Yeah, fun I got you,” before her face falls into a crying stance and she starts to sob. She screams, “You weak,” with heated rage. You, child She starts smacking herself in the face and says, “Just shut up, shut up.

Fineman reaches out to stop her yelling out of concern. Oh no, she exclaims. Plaza exclaims, “Yes, you got it!” as Fineman correctly predicts that the impression is of Annette Benning from American Beauty.

Classical music starts to play in the background as the SNL performer inquires as to why Plaza “is like this,” simulating a dramatic monologue from a show. Plaza moves up to Fineman and says seriously, “Because I am mad. ”

The two then slowly get closer as Fineman asks, “What’s happening?” After Plaza tells her to “shut up,” they share a kiss.

Right at that moment, an SNL janitor on the first floor can be seen watching the two in disgust as they have an intense makeout session on the balcony. He merely shakes his head and continues his work.

On Jan. 5, Saturday Night Live made the announcement that Plaza would host the premiere episode of 2023 with musical performer Sam Smith.

The actress shared an Instagram picture of her White Lotus character Harper smoking a cigarette with the date “1.21.23” scribbled over it after the news was revealed.
