David Foster tells that having a male is a little bit different than having only daughters up until the birth of her son.

The music producer is also struggling to adjust to the prospect of becoming a father later in life.

At a celebration for Jerry Moss on Saturday at the Music Center in Los Angeles, Foster declares, “At this point in my life, it is different again. “Just different, not better or worse. I still work and travel frequently, but perhaps because I have more runway behind me than I do in front of me, I value leisure a little more.”

Despite this, Foster claims that having a toddler at 73 demands “patience,” a quality he acknowledges he lacked while raising his five children. When I was younger, I was not patient,” he admits. “I was just on the move and haughty.”

Given their age difference, there were conflicting emotions when Foster and McPhee first revealed they were having a child together. The musician acknowledges the “naysayers” who disagreed with their choice, noting that it is “a real question,” but he has his own viewpoint on it

Even if I will not be here when Rennie is 50, 40, or even 30, Foster says, “I suppose that I can offer him one thing.” “I believe that after 72 years on the planet, I can impart some wisdom to him. And perhaps it is not such a bad compromise. So, I hope.
