• After seven albums and nearly two decades,
• The emo-pop band Panic! at the Disco is calling it quits. The group was formed in 2004.
• The announcement was made on Instagram on January 24, 2023.

Bredon Urie “I could never have anticipated where this life would take me growing up in Vegas. And all the friends we have met along the journey from all across the world,” he wrote. But sometimes a journey must come to an end so that another can start.

The multi-talented singer then revealed that he and his wife Sarah Urie are having a child.

Although some of you may have heard, Sarah and I are expecting a baby very soon. We have been trying to keep it to ourselves. It is wonderful and humbling to think of being a father and seeing my wife become a mother. I am forward for the upcoming journey.

That being stated, I am going to stop this chapter of my life and devote all of my attention to my family, and with that, Panic! At The Disco will no longer exist.

Urie continued by thanking all of his fans, including those who had just found his music. “I sincerely appreciate all of your support over the years. The proper words to express how much this means to us escape me as I sit here trying to think of them. It has been a pleasure to not only share the stage with so many brilliant people but also to spend time with you, whether you have been with us from the beginning or are just discovering us.

“I am looking forward to meeting everyone in Europe and the UK for one more run together,” Urie said in his closing statement on his upcoming European tour.

While fans shared their disappointment for the end of the group, they also shared their elation for Urie’s next chapter as a father.

Urie — who also appeared on Broadway in Kinky Boots in 2017 — married Sarah in 2013, four years after the pair first started dating. Their upcoming arrival is the first baby for both.
