Diana Jenkins leaves RHOBH after one season
The 49-year-old Diana Jenkins “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star announced her retirement from the Bravo reality series after just one season, citing her “high-risk” pregnancy, which was made public early last month.
She informed her Instagram fans on Monday, “As many of you know, Asher and I are expecting our second child later this year. You should also be aware that my pregnancy is high risk due to a number of circumstances, and that I am now on bed rest per my doctor’s advice.
As a result, I am unable to completely dedicate myself to the filming of the upcoming season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she continued.
Jenkins continued by expressing gratitude to the network for “enabling [her] to focus on [her] pregnancy” and making a commitment to her viewers to “continue sharing [her] reproductive journey.”
Jenkins, who was born and raised in Bosnia and Herzegovina, is expecting her second kid with fiancé Asher Monroe, 34, and is currently expecting her fourth child.
The reality personality co-parents son Innis, 22, and daughter Eneya, 19, with her ex-husband Roger Jenkins, and the two also share a 2-year-old daughter named Eliyanah.
A source close to the former “Housewife” tells us that Diana still maintains close friendships with Crystal [Kung Minkoff], [Lisa] Rinna, and Erika [Jayne] whether or not she appears on “Beverly Hills: The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
“She’s really grateful for those women and the fact that the show helped them grow even closer,” the insider continues.
Prior to Season 12, Diana joined “RHOBH,” shortly after going through a heartbreaking miscarriage.
She sparred with Sutton Stracke and Garcelle Beauvais, two fan favorites, before getting into trouble online for a “racially offensive” remark. She subsequently attended the Season 12 reunion remotely.
Diana confirmed that she had contracted COVID-19 prior to filming, despite fan hypotheses about why she might not want to face her co-stars or moderator Andy Cohen in person.
Days before to Diana’s statement, veteran “RHOBH” actress Rinna, 59, announced she will also not be returning for Season 13.
The former soap opera actress said to People last week, “This is the longest job I have done in my 35-year career and I am grateful to everyone at Bravo and all those involved in the series.”
“The past eight years have been enjoyable, and I’m looking forward to the future.”
