For Gadar 2, Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel are reunited. The movie’s creators and cast presented a brand-new poster and its release date in honour of Republic Day 2023. The release of Gadar 2 is scheduled for August 11, 2023. Anil Sharma, who had directed the original, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, will direct the upcoming movie (2001)

Sunny Deol is seen in the Gadar 2 first look poster as a desi avatar. The actor is walking through what appears to be the rubble of a place in ruins while carrying a sledgehammer in his hand and projecting an intense expression. Sunny tweeted the movie’s poster on Thursday “Long live India! Hindustan zindabaad hai, zindabaad tha, and zindabaad rahega! We present to you the largest sequel to an Indian film in 20 years on this Independence Day. Release date for Gadar 2 is August 11, 2023.” Utkarsh Sharma, who played Sunny and Amisha’s son in Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, is also a featured actor in the film and is the son of director Anil Sharma.

Sunny appeared in Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, which was directed by Anil Sharma and also starred Amrish Puri and Ameesha Patel. One of Bollywood’s highest-grossing movies ever at the time was the drama from 2001. The sequel was released more than 20 years after the first film. The future movie’s director has already started filming in Lucknow. Gadar 2 is currently being made.

In September of last year, Sunny Deol remarked that sequels to movies are sometimes “messed up” by the filmmakers, but he added that he was confident in the second instalment of his well-liked movie Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. In an interview, Sunny had stated to Pinkvilla, “We muck things up when recording part two. We must write a part two if the writing is strong, but we shouldn’t create it merely for the sake of creating one. I have a lot of faith in the movie. Everyone I meet wants to see something, and Gadar Ek Prem Katha provides that. In October, we start filming again, and we finish in December. Early 2023 will see its release.

In an interview with Hindustan Times in April 2022, director Anil Sharma discussed Gadar 2 and said, “We have worked with the same cast and characters Tara Singh (Sunny), Sakina (Amisha), and Jeete (Utkarsh Sharma). The narrative has also advanced 22 years. It’s a natural process for everyone because my son (Utkarsh) has developed from a child to a young person. It will be a new movie for new viewers and a sequel for longtime viewers.
