King Charles pushed to answer Meghan Markle, Prince Harry
The malign nature of the memoir will harm the Royal Family. Reviving...
Harry’s jealousy and William’s brutal response put an end to all arguments
Prince Harry was “jealous” of Prince William as a child, and the elder of the two would use his position as heir to the throne to put his brother down, according to a royal expert.
This month, Harry’s tell-all memoir contains scathing allegations about his brother.
The Duke of Sussex described William as his “arch nemesis” in his upcoming book “Spare,” which will be released on January 10.
In the midst of shocking allegations that William confronted Harry in a physical altercation and was upset over an alleged lack of Easter presents, royal expert Ingrid Seward has claimed that the royal feud had an extra edge.
According to one Magazine’s editor-in-chief, brotherly love had a “jealous edge” when the two princes were growing up, and William found it easy to put his younger sibling down.
Ingrid told media sources: “As a young boy, Harry kind of hero-worshipped William, as younger brothers often do, but there was also a jealous edge.
“He was frustrated over not being Number One and William would regularly win arguments by saying, ‘I’m the oldest and I will be King.'”
According to Seward, the boys’ relationship shifted as they grew older, and William began to have doubts about following in his father’s footsteps.
She pointed to William’s gap year experience, after which he returned and Harry said I get on much better with him now. He’s changed a lot.”
“It meant William could do what he wanted when they were younger,” she added. “But as he got older the idea of being the future King intimidated him.”
“Harry would say, ‘If you don’t want to be King then I will,’ which Diana found funny, but I believe there is an edge of truth to what he said.”
Despite Harry’s statements about wanting to reconcile – he was seen on ITV saying, “I would like to have my brother back” – sources close to the Palace told the media sources that there would “never be a way back” after the release of Spare.
According to a former royal staffer who knew William and Harry while working in the household, Harry will “never be forgiven” for revealing intimate details of royal life and inducing conversations with his father, the King, and William.
