Jeremy Renner thanks ‘renowned’ medical staff
Jeremy Renner captioned the picture, “Thank you famous medical ICU team for starting this journey,” and added a number of prayer emojis underneath it.
As he heals from the serious wounds he sustained in a snowplough accident earlier this month, the actor has posted three times from the hospital, the most recent of which was on Friday. He was evacuated from his home to a hospital on January 1 and underwent surgery the next day.
On December 3, Renner posted his first update on Instagram, a picture taken from his hospital bed, in which he thanked his followers for their well-wishes following his accidents. “Thank you all for your warm words,” he said in the post. I’m currently too confused to type. But I send you all my love.
He uploaded a video on his Instagram Story on Thursday showing his sister giving his brother a head massage and making him giggle while his mother watched, in what the actor described as a “spa time to lift my spirits.”
In the footage, Renner’s sister could be heard saying, “He’s so sexy, yeah,” as the lens focused on the Marvel actor’s face. “Really, take a look at that blood,” she added, as Renner indicated that the “spa moment” served as his first time bathing since he was injured by a 14,330-lb. snowplow while he cleared snow from his property on New Year’s Day. “First shower in definitely a week or so,” he revealed. “Gross!”
On December 3, a spokesman informed that Renner was “On Sunday, he cleared the snow from his driveway so that his family could leave the house after celebrating the new year together. Considering that everyone up there had been without power for 24 hours and that there had been a significant snowfall, he was also assisting in clearing the snow from his neighbor’s property.”
In the meantime, Renner was assisting a family member move a “stuck” vehicle out of the estimated 3 feet of snowfall from the previous night when the incident occurred, Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam stated in a press conference the same day.
Evangeline Lilly, Hailee Steinfeld, and Chris Hemsworth are just a few of Renner’s friends and coworkers who have sent their best wishes for the actor’s health.
