Team Shehzada released a brief teaser on Kartik Aaryan’s birthday in November, introducing the viewers to the lead character and the movie’s setting. Later, the same teaser was shown nationwide along with the Hollywood smash hit Avatar: The Way of Water. Since then, both the trade and the general public have made numerous assumptions about when the trailer will likely debut. With little over a month, till Shehzada hits theatres, Pinkvilla has exclusive knowledge that Rohit Dhawan’s comedy’s theatrical trailer will debut on January 12 at a lavish event in Mumbai, followed by a digital rollout that same day.

According to a source familiar with the development, “The trailer will be launched at an event in Mumbai on January 12 amidst fan fare in presence of the media. Minutes after the launch, the trailer will hit the digital world across the platforms. The trailer is said to be a front footed entertainer, with punches, punch lines, colour, music and swag. Right after the launch in Mumbai, the leading pair, Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon will be off to Jalandar in Punjab to celebrate Lohri on January 13.”

The insider further said that hundreds of people, including the lead cast, would watch the trailer at the Lohri event on January 13.

The source shared, “From Punjab, team Shehzada will be off to the great Rann of Kutch to celebrate the festival of kites, Makar Sankranti. The trailer launch event in the white desert of India on January 14 will be one of its kind of Hindi cinema.”

This marks the end of the three-city trailer debut, but it also marks the start of a month-long marketing campaign that will go until the movie’s release on February 10, 2023.

The source added, “It’s a big valentines day weekend release and the Shehzada team will go all out to announce their arrival among the audience.”

According to an exclusive statement provided to the media by the film’s creators, “With so much love pouring in from the audiences from all over India; we had to make the trailer launch a larger-than-life celebration. The entire team is more excited than the audience to finally show their hard-work. This unique 3-day celebration is a way of thanking our audience for the constant love & support.”

Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Allu Arvind, and Aman Gill, Shehzada is scheduled to hit theaters on February 10, 2023, during Valentine’s Day weekend. Along with Manisha Koirala, Paresh Rawal, Ronit Roy, and Sachin Khedekar, Kartik and Kriti are featured in the movie. Pritam is the soundtrack composer for this movie.

After starring in the Anees Bazmee-directed blockbuster Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Kartik Aaryan makes a comeback with Shehzada. After Shehzada, he has future roles in Satyaprem Ki Katha, Aashiqui 3, and a drama directed by Kabir Khan for Sajid Nadiadwala, among others. These movies are all being produced by Sameer Vidwans.
