Kelly Dodd’s hubby Rick Leventhal lucky to be alive after car crash
The husband of Kelly Dodd from “Real Housewives of Orange County,” Rick Leventhal, describes himself as “fortunate to be alive” after surviving a terrifying vehicle accident.
“So appreciative for the good wishes and attention I’m receiving and lucky to still be alive. 4 broken ribs, shattered right foot bone, wounded pride,” the 62-year-old former Fox News reporter said in the caption of a post on Instagram on Tuesday evening.
“That’s all I have thus far.”

He acknowledged the recent heavy rain in Southern California and stated, “I hydroplaned travelling east on 410, maybe 40 minutes outside of Palm Desert, simply straight away hit what felt like a piece of ice.” Whatever it was, it was simply water.

He stated that a “trucker assisted [him] out,” adding, “I think I might have broken my ribs from the airbag.”
Leventhal asserted that he is “fine” despite his wounds. But he said, “Doctors want to keep me in the hospital for a little while.” However, things could have been lot worse.

Leventhal received well wishes from some of Dodd’s Bravo family in her comments section.
“Oh no! Vicki Gunvalson, a former cast member of “RHOC,” said, “Thank God he is okay. “Wishing you a quick recovery,”
Margaret Josephs, a member of the “Real Housewives of New Jersey,” commented, “So frightening, sending prayers.”
Mercedes “MJ,” a former “Shahs of Sunset” star Javid added a message of encouragement with the words “omg no am very sorry and sending prayers.”
After the catastrophe, Leventhal himself was especially grateful for his safety.
