Penelope Wilton, Alfie Allen, Stephen Rea, and Isla Johnston will all appear in the film with the “House of the Dragon” actress.

The movie is being directed by Nicolas Pesce, and it began filming last week in Ireland.

In the novel “Visitation,” a 14-year-old girl named Maria is forced to live under the care of Catholic nuns since her mother is ill and on the verge of passing away. Maria’s arrival, nevertheless, takes a deadly turn when one of her carers falls hopelessly in love with her.

The script was written by Helen Gaughran, while Katie Holly of Blinder Films, David Lancaster, and Stephanie Wilcox served as producers.

Cooke, 29, will co-star with Hilary Swank and Jack Reynor in the movie “Mother’s Milk.”

Miles Joris-Peyrafitte is the film’s director, and it tells the tale of a journalist who, after her estranged son is murdered, teams up with his unborn lover in an unexpected alliance to find those responsible.

Together, the two face a drug- and corruption-filled underworld in upstate New York and unearth an even more sinister secret.

Joris-Peyrafitte said in a statement: “Getting this film made has been a personal dream of mine for six years and assembling a stellar cast like this is more than I ever could have hoped for.

“I’m so excited to bring this story to life with them and my team of amazing producers.”
