Prince Harry denies accusing royal family of racism
In his most recent television interview, Prince Harry denies accusing his family of racism, after he and Meghan accused members of the royal family of questioning “how dark” their son Archie’s skin would be.
“A couple of things, you talk about accountability, [Mm] in the Oprah interview you accused members of your family of racism, you don’t even…” Harry interrupts. He says: “No I didn’t.” He then adds: “The British press said that.”
“Did – did Meghan ever mention that they’re racist?” he asks Bradby.
“She said there were troubling comments about Archie’s skin colour,” the interviewer responds. “There was – there was concern about his skin colour,” Harry confirms she said.
However, when Bradby inquires: “Right. Wouldn’t you call that essentially racist?” “I wouldn’t,” Harry responds, “because I didn’t grow up in that family.”
