Prince Harry has opened up about a steamy night he had with Meghan Markle in a hotel in the early days of their relationship.

The Duke of Sussex recounted the passionate reunion between him and his now-wife Meghan after weeks apart in his memoir Spare, which was released on Tuesday.

The 38-year-old, who also wrote about losing his virginity behind a pub, said he met Meghan at the Soho House hotel in London on Princess Diana’s death anniversary.

Harry wrote he was waiting “breathlessly” outside Meghan’s room until she opened the door and “pulled me inside”.

The book stated: “I want to say we hung a ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on the door. But I don’t think there was time.”

The couple, who had been dating for nearly two months, had gone on a romantic trip to Botswana and then spent several weeks apart while Harry was on vacation with his friends.

In the book, he described how Meghan flew to London to meet him on the anniversary of his mother’s death.

He claimed Meghan instructed him to take a back alley to the hotel, where he met a friend of hers named Vanessa, who led him to his girlfriend.

When Meghan opened the door, Harry wrote, her arms reached for him and she quickly let him into the room.

“She pulled me inside and thanked her friend in one fluid motion, then slammed the door quickly before anyone saw,” the book said.
