Quentin Tarantino gives rare update on raising 2 young kids
Quentin Tarantino enjoys being a father. On the Golden Globes red carpet on Tuesday, the iconic film director, 59, gushed about his two young children.
When asked how it’s been parenting his son Leo, who is almost three, and his daughter, who is six months old but whose name has not yet been disclosed, he responded, “Good! Good!” with a wide smile.
Tarantino was joined by his wife Daniella Pick, who was dressed in a plunging gold gown that fit her like a glove. Tarantino himself was dressed in a sharp, all-black suit for the occasion.
The 39-year-old Israeli model and singer wore her dark hair loosely fashioned in waves as she posed for photos with her husband of four years.
When they arrived in the ballroom, the pair could be seen thanking Austin Butler after the actor won Best Actor for the movie “Elvis.”
We overheard Tarantino exclaim, in reference to the 31-year-recent old’s hosting role on the NBC comedy program, “You killed it on ‘Saturday Night Live!'”
In July 2022, Tarantino and Pick, who are currently residing in Tel Aviv, gave birth to a girl.
The filmmaker acknowledged to Jimmy Kimmel that they “nearly” chose a different name for their newborn boy, who was born in February 2020, even though they haven’t revealed the name of their daughter.
During an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” in June 2021, Tarantino stated, “People would assume that I named him after Leonardo DiCaprio!”
Then he added, “There’s nothing wrong with it, but I didn’t. He is called after the grandpa of my wife, as well as the fact that, in our hearts, he was our own little lion.
The screenwriter broke down in tears the following month as he talked about becoming a parent, saying on “CBS This Morning” in July 2021, “I can’t even see his name written on a piece of paper without sobbing.”
Leo was described by Tarantino as “the most endearing human being” he had ever encountered.
The native Tennessean took sure to emphasize that his commitment to his family had not “taken anything away” from his professional success.
He even claimed that getting married to Pick caused him to “take stock” of his life and view it “from a new aspect” at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival.
He said at the time, “I’ve never [been married before], and now I know why.” I had been looking for the ideal woman.
In 2009, when Tarantino was promoting “Inglourious Basterds,” the pair met in Israel. In 2017, they got engaged.
