Stephen Amell has returned to the Arrowverse!

The 41-year-old actor will return to The Flash. The show comes back for its ninth and last season next month.

“As soon as we knew this would be our last season, we knew we wanted Stephen to come back. ” The Flash executive producer Eric Wallace told that in a statement. “After all, it was Oliver who put Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) on the path to becoming a hero.  That’s why everyone on Team Flash thought it was so important for Oliver.

Since 2012, Stephen Amell has played the role known as Green Arrow. Since Queen died on Arrow, it is not clear how he will be shown in the next season.

David Ramsey, Keiynan Lonsdale, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who are also reprising their roles as John Diggle/Spartan, Wally West/Kid Flash, and Ramsey Rosso/Bloodwork, will also be in the next episode with the actor.

The Flash is the last show in the Arrowverse to come to an end. The last episode of Arrow aired in 2020, after eight seasons and 170 episodes. The last episode of Supergirl aired in 2021, six years after it first aired in 2015.

The Flash was supposed to end after eight seasons. The studio was able to get new contracts for Gustin and Candice Patton. they’re playing Iris West, which gave the show one more season.

In season 8, The Flash was said to be one of  most streamed shows because it had more than a million viewers.

Last August, Gustin said that he was glad to have one more season on the show.

He wrote on Instagram, “I’m really excited to get to do this one more time and end on our own terms.” “I’m going to enjoy every second of it as much as I can, and I wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting the show and letting us go as long as we have.”

The Flash’s ninth season will start on February 8.
