Storm Reid says she can always ask Zendaya for advice
Storm Reid knows she can count on Zendaya for support and honesty in Euphoria.
Reid discussed her tight relationship with her TV sister on the newest podcast.
“I usually ask her for help,” claimed the 19-year-old Missing actor. “She’s frank, honest, and loving. She’ll still express herself. Since I’m frank, I enjoy that. Avoid the fluff and get to the point.”
Euphoria’s Reid plays Zendaya’s younger sister Georgia “Gia” Bennett. The HBO drama’s protagonists often fight, but the pair’s real-life relationship is different.
Reid added, “My big sister.” “Be honest with each other and in general. We live in a pretty phoney world sometimes. Cut the fluff.”
Zendaya, an executive producer on Euphoria, called Reid her “dream casting” for her character’s younger sibling.
“As she’s grown, I’ve always heard, “Oh my my, she looks just like Zendaya!” I was like, “Storm!” when my little sister got a role. We must cooperate “in 2018. “She’s cute and great.”
Reid is “very grateful” for her new Missing role opposite Nia Long and their friendship. June (Reid) searches for her missing mother Grace (Long) on vacation with her new boyfriend. June uses online search tools.
“Thankfully I haven’t been put in a position where my mum goes missing, but the unconditional love that parents have for their children, and that children have for their parents, you’ll go to the end of the earth or you’ll do whatever to make sure that your parent is safe,” Reid said of the film. “June cleverly did that. I admire June because I could never do what she did.”
