Toni Collette recently discussed her heartache following her breakup with her ex-husband Dave Galafassi.

An emotional poem by US-based campaigner Tony Ingram was shared on Wednesday by The Staircase star on Instagram Story.

“You owe it to yourself to quit being the apology… to hold your hand and sing your favorite song… to love another and see how far that will go. to love yourself and forget where you were headed in the first place. love is a funny story,” read the poem.

After Dave was caught on camera kissing another lady earlier this month, the Muriel’s Wedding star broke up their relationship. After 20 years of marriage, the couple announced their divorce on social media, stating that their children “are of paramount significance” to them and that they “will continue to thrive as a family, albeit in a different shape.”

Additionally, the Knives Out actress posted a motivational Instagram post that discusses “life” in general.

“Life is short, Life is simple, this is your Life, start doing things what you love,” it read.
