Harry Styles defeated Adele to win the first significant 2023 Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album for “Harry’s House.” After Styles was announced as the 65th Annual Grammy Awards’ top honoree, the Easy On Me singer appeared less ecstatic.

A video of most of the other celebrities present at the Crypto.com Arena congratulating Styles on his victory quickly gained popularity online. Adele, however, stayed seated and did not appear to be participating in the applause. Fans immediately tweeted that Adele was not trying to hear Harry speak as she left the #GRAMMYs this year, where he won Album of the Year over Beyoncé.

I felt weak when Adele left during Harry Styles’ little statement and Lizzo understood why. #GRAMMYs,” a third tacked on. Fans of the singer also noted that it was evident during the live broadcast that Adele remained throughout the speech and had only briefly stood up.
