A judge in the US ruled that attorneys for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle must question them about their comments regarding Samantha Markle during their Oprah Winfrey interview.

The decision was made as a result of the royal couple’s attorneys’ refusal to answer Samantha’s attorneys’ inquiries.

The UK local newspaper reports that Markle’s attorneys have urged the judge to halt the proceedings, but Ms. Honeywell has refused, saying that the Court will probably “dismiss the action in its entirety.

Judge Charlene Edwards ruled, “Defendant Markle does not show that unusual circumstances justify the requested stay, or that prejudice or an undue burden will result if the Court does not impose a stay.”

She added: “Although a preliminary peep at the motion to dismiss suggests that some of the claims against her may be ripe for dismissal, the review does not reveal, at this time, a clear indication that the Court will dismiss the action in its entirety.”

“Thus, defendant Markle does not satisfy the high standard required to stay discovery pending the resolution of a dispositive motion.”

Meghan’s half-sister Samantha is asking for $75,000 in compensation for the Oprah claims and the ones made in the upcoming memoir Finding Freedom about the couple.
