Brendan Fraser explained why he makes an effort to interact with fans who have autism at public events. Brendan Fraser discussed raising his oldest son Griffin Fraser in a recent interview with Howard Stern on the SiriusXM radio programme, according to People Magazine.

“I understand how important it is to their families and to them because my oldest son has autism. To feel like you can satisfy someone just by showing up is very meaningful. He continued by describing his initial reaction to learning of his illness. I was heartbroken, to put it mildly, when I learned of my child’s condition at 22 or 24 months, he recalled. “The initial response I had.

You simply get whacked in the side of the head with a baseball bat, he explained. in what way? This is not how things are intended to pan out. You start blaming yourself for the reasons why, saying things like, “My genealogy” or “I tried pot in college.”

He referred to it as “like trying to get a straight answer out of an f——— leprechaun,” describing how challenging it is to believe that autism happens “for reasons unknown,” which is the best explanation experts currently have. Fraser did point out that he rapidly realized there was “no other option” for him to go.

The most joyful child I know is this one, who also happens to be linked to me as my son. I am curious as to what he finds to be so really hilarious that he cracks up all day long. He enjoys taking rides in the automobile. No matter where you are taking him, it does not matter.

Asked if Griffin’s diagnosis contributed to marital issues between him and ex-wife Afton Smith — with whom he also shares sons Leland, 16, and Holden, 18 — Fraser explained, “I paid more attention to my professional life than my personal one. Just me, I suppose.”

“All bets, though, are off with Griffin. Who cares if we have issues with one another? That is irrelevant “He emphasized. “It is beneath a white flag, and we go above and beyond to meet this boy’s and his brother’s demands. I was able to make the most significant commitment to that.”
