Dave Bautista has been a longtime Gears of War fan and is excited to be a part of the live-action adaptation film on Netflix. The Dune actor expressed his desire to portray Marcus Fenix, the main character in a video game, in an interview with Variety.

“I have been looking for this role for a long time, and I think I could give Marcus Fenix a lot of heart. I would really, “said Bautista. “I believe I could play that role well. I am optimistic that it will come my way, and one day we will be having this debate in a new setting.”

The 53-year-old previously disclosed that he forwent the Fast and Furious part in favour of the Gears of War movie. They wanted to discuss Fast and the Furious with me, but I told them, “I am not interested. Let us talk about Marcus Fenix from Gears of War.”

The former WWE star tweeted earlier that the movie’s producers “could care AF” about him in the endeavor. “They pay attention. They could also provide AF! but I want to thank you for your help. Believe me when I say I’ve tried everything to make this happen.”
