Eminem opposes podcast Reasonably Shady with Gizelle Bryant & Robyn Dixon
Eminem opposed Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon’s trademark application for “Reasonably Shady,” the name of their podcast, on February 14.
According to the documents, the “Real Housewives of Potomac” stars will have their trademark for their broadcast “damaged,” according to the “Lose Yourself” rapper, whose real name is Marshall Mathers.
He added that “Reasonably Shady” would “create confusion in the minds of consumers,” who have been familiar with him since the late ’90s under the names Slim Shady and Shady.
Since 1998, Eminem, 50, has used the names “Slim Shady” and “Shady” exclusively for entertainment services. He also owns the “Shady” trademark for usage on merchandise.
After filing to trademark the name of their podcast with the intention of starting to sell goods like water bottles, lip gloss, hoodies, caps, coats, and socks, Dixon, 43, and Bryant, 52, received Eminem’s opposition a few weeks later.
Since it debuted in 2021, the reality stars’ podcast has become increasingly popular. Dixon and Bryant talk about dating, relationships, marriage, business, motherhood, fashion, glam, current affairs, and other topics.
The girls celebrated the show’s 5 million downloads in less than two years just last week.
Eminem’s objection has received no public retort from Dixon or Bryant. The “Stan” rapper has asked the females to answer by March 26.
