Farrah Abraham former Teen Mom posted a video of her 14-year-old daughter Sophia getting six facial piercings on TikTok on Thursday. “CHEERS to turning 14! Party for earlobe piercing and snake bite! Although Abraham stated in a statement to InTouch Weekly that she “will not be embarrassing my daughter,” she nonetheless received criticism from other parents in the comments section for allowing her daughter to get the piercings.

She continued, “I LOVE Sophia and back her 100 percent in becoming who and what she wants to be. “The mom shames need to understand what some children will outgrow and what they [won’t]. Given that I no longer have my belly button pierced, that is a natural part of growing up.”

Abraham went on to say of Sophia that she enjoys “having a teenager” and that she has the same compassion for her that she wishes she had when she was a kid. The request for response from was not immediately answered by an Abraham spokesperson.
