The renowned Stranger Things actor Finn Wolfhard is advancing in his acting career with his film debut as an actor director with Hell of a Summer.

The actor won accolades for his performance as Mike in the popular science fiction series Stranger Things.

For the upcoming horror-comedy movie starring Billy Bryk, who also co-wrote the script, and Wolfhard, 20, a first look photograph has been made public.

Fans of the young actor hurried to Twitter to express their feelings on the Stranger Things actor’s directing debut at such a young age shortly after Variety released the first-look image.

In a recent interview with Collider, Wolfhard stated that the movie would be a camp-based horror-comedy.

“It’s a comedy slasher film that’s set at a summer camp. It takes place at counselors’ weekend before the campers get there. All the counselors are getting the camp ready and people start getting murdered” the actor said.

“It’s this kind of ensemble camp comedy with blood in it. I co-wrote and co-directed it with Billy Bryk. We’re in the middle of editing it now. Hopefully, someone wants to put it out. That’d be awesome” he added.
