The contentious Netflix docuseries starring Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was a “changing moment” for the American public.

Harry and Meghan made several accusations about the Firm and their time as employed royals in the series, which debuted on the streaming service in December.

Meghan remembered her difficult first encounter with the Princess of Wales, while Harry said that Prince William left him horrified after screaming and shouting during the Sandringham summit.

According to a royal author, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s controversial Netflix docuseries marked a “turning point” with the American public.

The series, titled Harry & Meghan, premiered on Netflix in December and saw them level a number of allegations against the Firm and their time as working royals.

Harry claimed that Prince William terrified him during the Sandringham summit, while Meghan recalled her tense first meeting with the Princess of Wales.

Following the Netflix series and the release of Harry’s controversial memoir Spare, many people, particularly in America, have been left wondering what their next move will be.

“The Netflix documentary marked a turning point,” said American journalist and royal author Christopher Andersen to the Sunday Times.

“There was the torrent of complaints, many of which seemed, for want of a better word, petty. The whining did not go over well with Americans.”

He said: “There is no question that Harry and Meghan will continue to be well connected in the US. As a power couple, they have few equals. They’ve made it clear they want to be relevant. They’re not going anywhere.”

It comes as changes are made to Harry and Meghan’s Archewell foundation as the couple plans for the future. It was announced earlier this month that two key players would be leaving Archewell.
