When Kate went to the Oxford House Nursing Home in Slough this morning, she found it difficult to create a pancake. The Princess of Wales participated in a Shrove Tuesday pancake-making activity with two of the chefs at the family-run nursing home.

The monarch, who was shown on camera having trouble spreading the concoction about the pan, appeared to give in to the pressure.

With several reporters, staff personnel, and nursing home residents looking at her, the queen stumbled around behind the stove and laughed awkwardly.

Kate pushed the mixture with a spatula while checking the timing to see whether she should flip it. She then turned to one of the chefs for guidance.

When instructed to wait, the royal quipped: “See, this is where I go wrong, I always try to turn them too quickly!”

As the seconds passed, Kate continued to have trouble raising the edges of the pancake that was growing since they looked to be stuck to the pan.

The hush around her and the 41-year-performance old’s seemed to humiliate her more.

There is no pressure here, the chef assured the Princess, hoping to alleviate her fears.

Although it appeared to have become wrinkled up by her prior tries with the spatula, Kate successfully flipped the treat once she was able to remove the mixture from the pan.
