King Charles III mets Ukraine’s President Zelensky at Buckingham Palace
During his first visit to the UK since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, King Charles III greeted Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky at Buckingham Palace.
For the first time since taking the throne following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, Britain’s new monarch met Ukraine’s President, who paid a surprise visit to the country.
Taking to their official Twitter on Wednesday, the royal family shared picture of the King in which Charles is seen receiving Zelensky at the palace. They captioned: “The King welcomes President @ZelenskyyUa to Buckingham Palace.”

“In Britain, the King is an air force pilot — and in Ukraine today, every air force pilot is a king,” Zelenskyy was quoted as saying.
He went on to say that the United Kingdome “is marching alongside us to the most significant victory of our lives. Any aggressor who attacks international order will know what awaits him after we win together.”
Kate Middleton, Prince William, and other members of the royal family have expressed their support for Ukraine in the midst of the conflict with Russia.
