The singer-songwriter behind the smash single “Green Light” is the third headlining act for the music and surf event in Newquay, Cornwall, which will take place from August 9 to 13 at Watergate Bay and Fistral Beach.

Before to the event, it was confirmed that Liam Gallagher and Florence and the Machine will headline on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

The already impressive list of performers has grown by more than 100 more names, including Ben Howard, Cypress Hill, RAYE, Dermot Kennedy, SG Lewis, Yard Act, Confident Man, Everything Everything, Dylan, and Nova Twins.

Following the cancellation of their New Zealand concerts due to Cyclone Gabrielle, Lorde and Sting have now been added to the festival’s lineup.

Following the devastation caused by the Category 3 cyclone, which struck the northern part of the country’s North Island on February 12 and tracked down the east coast, the two decided to cancel their individual concerts. This was the third time in New Zealand’s history that a state of emergency has been declared.

Thousands of individuals across the nation remain unreachable, and 11 deaths have so far been reported.

Beginning on March 1, Lorde was scheduled to do two consecutive concerts in Hawke’s Bay, the region most severely affected.

She said in a statement on her Instagram Story: “Over the past week, I’ve been following the ongoing devastation in Hawke’s Bay.

“In line with advice from the venue, the police, and our promoter, I think the right thing to do is to postpone our Hawke’s Bay shows.

“This is a postponement, not a cancellation at this stage – I’m working on something, and you’ll hear from me soon.”

She added: “I would love to be there with you right now, but I can also read the room, and taking precious resources away from those who need them right now is not it.”
