Olivia Colman 49, appeared unrecognizable in the first teaser for the upcoming production of the Charles Dickens classic. In the upcoming three-part series, written by Bafta-winning author Steven Knight, Colman will play Miss Havisham.

Let me see you,” the Lost Daughter actor says to the young orphan Pip (Tom Sweet) in the official teaser. What a prized catch we brought back from the river. Along with a variety of silver jewellery pieces, a filthy wedding dress, a lavish headdress made of dead flowers, and a veil, Colman’s costume also contains other accessories.

Great Expectations is a coming-of-age tale of Pip, an orphan who longs for a better lot in life. It was produced by FX Productions in collaboration with media, Scott Free, and Hardy Son & Baker. Ashley Thomas, Johnny Harris, Hayley Squires, Owen McDonnell, Laurie Ogden, Matt Berry, Trystan Gravelle, and Rudi Dharmalingam will also appear in Great Expectations.
