• In the teaser, that looks much similar to an earlier one launched after the release of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan.

A new teaser for Ayushmann Khurrana’s next movie Dream Girl 2 has been released. Ayushmann’s honey-voiced Pooja can be seen speaking on the phone with Ranbir Kapoor in the trailer. Yet, it appears that Ayushmann was also the one mimicking Ranbir’s voice.

Ayushmann’s Pooja can be seen wearing a colorful lehenga and a backless top in the teaser, which is very similar to one that was previously released following the release of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan. He says, “Hey main Pooja bol rahi hu. Aap kaun (Hello I am Pooja, who is this)?” The caller answers, “Tumne meri awaaz nahi pehchaani (you did not recognize my voice),” and then hangs up.

Ayushmann brands Ranbir a liar and makes fun of him for promising to marry Pooja but choosing to wed “Ailaa (Alia)” in place of her when he sees him on the other side. Suddenly, a voice that closely resembles Alia Bhatt says “RK,” “Kaun hai RK? Who is RK? Kisse baat kar rahe ho tom? To whom are you speaking)? It’s his “Bhatinde waali bua,” RK informs her.

Ayushmann addresses him as “Jhoote, makkaar mil kab rahe ho” (Liar, fraud, when are you meeting me). He informs Pooja that he will be seeing her on Holi to color her. On Holi, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, starring Ranbir, will be released. “Aur main 7 July ko aarahi hu,” Pooja informs him. “And I’m coming on July 7 to exhibit my colors,” the speaker says.

Pooja and Pathaan were previously seen talking on the phone in a promo. A voice wishing Pooja a happy Valentine’s day can be heard that sounds a lot like Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Pooja is then informed that Jawan will soon be released, and he inquires about her planned arrival time at the theater.

The sequel to the hugely popular movie Dream Girl, which was released in 2019, is Balaji Telefilms Dream Girl 2. At the box office, the first installment was a huge success. The movie also features Ananya Panday, Annu Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Asrani, Manjot Singh, and Vijay Raaz in addition to Ayushmann.
