While we are all upset that Ben Affleck is leaving Batman, it appears that the plan is much bigger and that he will remain in the DC Universe.

The world has witnessed the shuffles in the kingdom of DCU, and everyone is curious to see what these produce. While there have been numerous exits and project cuts, one of the most emotional ones we are preparing for is Ben Affleck saying his final goodbye to Batman. Yes, the next two films will be the final appearances of Ben Affleck on the big screen before he retires. But it appears that he is leaving the screen but not the studio.

The last two films we discussed were Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom and The Flash. Ben has decided to hang his cape beyond them. While James Gunn has already confirmed this, he has also stated that he will continue to work with Affleck, who now wishes to join the architectural team of the new DC Universe, specifically the Batman branch.

While James Gunn confirmed in a tweet that Ben Affleck wants to direct one of the films on the Chapter 1: Gods And Monsters roaster, a new report claims that the studio has given him The Brave And The Bold.

Ben Affleck is reportedly being considered to direct the next Batman film in the new DC Universe, titled The Brave And The Bold. James Gunn is introducing a new Bruce Wayne, who is not Ben. According to the report, this will be Affleck’s return to the director’s chair as well as the Batman universe.

In the past, Ben Affleck was tapped to star in, direct, and write The Batman. The actor had to leave the role and never had a solo Bruce Wayne film to his credit. The film was then handed over to Matt Reeves, who cast Robert Pattinson as the titular superhero, and the rest is history.
