Ed Sheeran singer was seen offering his fans a peek inside the inspiration behind his music in the documentary’s first-look trailer. When he recalled the tragic passing of his “best friend,” SBTV creator Jamal Edwards, Sheeran was also seen crying.

For the uninitiated, Edwards, who received an MBE for his work in the music business, passed away on February 20, 2022, at the age of 31. I have always been careful with my personal life; the only documentary I have ever filmed has been one that focused on my songs, Sheeran stated in a lengthy essay after posting the clip on Instagram.

Sheeran acknowledged Edwards in the teaser, saying, “Loss: it simply took over my life.” Edwards helped Sheeran establish his career. In the documentary, Cherry Seaborn, Sheeran’s wife, claims that her husband “has not had time to process and be at peace with his ideas” since he has not had time to do so.

The vocalist of Photograph recently disclosed that Seaborn had a tumor diagnosis while she was carrying their second kid. A four-part documentary series titled Ed Sheeran: The Sum Of It All will debut on Disney+ on May 3.
