Singing sensation Ed Sheeran has stated that he ‘didn’t want to live any longer’ after deaths of his friends Jamal Edwards and Shane Warne.

Sheeran’s career was aided in part by music businessman Edwards, who passed away in February 2022 at the age of 31. Shortly after Cherry Seaborn, Sheeran’s wife, received a tumor diagnosis, he passed away.

The musician disclosed that the doctors had informed him that his six-months pregnant wife needed surgery for a tumor, but that it would have to wait until after the birth of the couple’s second child.

Despite the fact that Seaborn delivered their daughter, Jupiter, to term and underwent successful surgery in June, Sheeran, 32, claimed that he felt “so powerless” at the time.

Sheeran claimed that the evening before learning of Edwards’ passing, he was out to dinner with singer Taylor Swift and her boyfriend, actor Joe Alwyn, and that he was texting Edwards about their plans to film a video the following day.

The international music sensation said, “Twelve hours later, he passed away. I lost my closest friend. He shouldn’t have done that. Ed began attending a therapist to assist him in coping with his emotions, but he was “really embarrassed” by his apparent “selfish” impulses.

I felt like I didn’t want to live any longer, he continued to Rolling Stone. And I’ve had that my entire life. You are drowning beneath the waves. You merely sort of exist within this. And there is no way out. I’ve always experienced severe lows. But I didn’t really start addressing it until last year.

Sheeran continued by adding that as a father, he felt “really embarrassed” by his apparent “selfish” sentiments. He said that Seaborn was the one who understood what was happening and suggested that he consult a therapist.
