Jamie Campbell Bower, who played the evil Vecna in the science fiction series Stranger Things, was interested in playing the role of Gotham City bad guy Scarecrow in the new DC universe. Bower mentioned the comic book character he enjoyed portraying on television in an interview with Geek House Show. There has recently been a lot of talk about the Scarecrow, he continued. “That’d be awesome. That would be enjoyable to carry out. That kind of strange, eerie event would be fantastic!”

Prior to taking on the Scarecrow role, Murphy was initially cast as the Bruce Wayne character.

“I do not think I came close to getting the Batman part. In my opinion, Christian Bale was the only performer at the time who was suitable for that role, and he nailed it “Two years ago, he spoke with The Hollywood Reporter.

“Thus, it started off as just an experience for me before evolving into something else. It developed into the Scarecrow persona and into a collaborative partnership with Chris. In spite of how much I miss that moment, I have never, ever thought of myself as Bruce Wayne material.”
