Jenna Ortega spoke about her previous red carpet attire gaffe after attending the Scream VI premiere on Monday.

The well-known actress from Wednesday looked breathtakingly beautiful in a spectacular Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture dress with a plunging neckline, a buttoned-open tuxedo top, and an ink stain.

Fans couldn’t help but notice the garment was marked with a blue Sharpie marker, as one social media user stated, “I wish i knew the story behind the stain,” to which another person replied, “I wonder what’s that blue thing.”

The You actress took to Instagram to address fan rumours about the wardrobe mishap, putting the hashtags “#sharpiestainswhogivesash-t” and “#imsorryolivier” next to images of the outfit for the red carpet.

In the pictures, she also included a tag for Olivier Rousteing, a guest designer for that particular Gaultier collection.

Fans of Ortega further speculated that the stain probably happened while the actress was preoccupied signing autographs for attendees at the illustrious premiere event.

The official Scream account also joined in the conversation, writing, “How well does the red carpet hide blood stains?”
