The Keeping Up With The Kardashians actress has lost more than a half million Instagram followers as a result of the recent controversy between Kylie Jenner and Selena Gomez.

Following her ‘apparent’ jab at Selena Gomez, her Instagram following has drastically decreased, falling from 380 million to 379 million in just one week.

The beauty tycoon has come under fire for allegedly making fun of Selena. In addition to seeing a decline in her numbers, Kylie Jenner, a former Disney star, also saw a rise in her Instagram following during the past few days, adding almost 10 million new followers.

The incident started on February 21st when Selena Gomez made fun of her own eyebrows in a video shared on her TikTok story, claiming that she had unintentionally over-laminated them. Within a short while, the mother of two shared a close-up selfie on Instagram, setting off a furor among Selena’s fans. She captioned the photo, asking, “This was an accident.

Later that day, Hailey Bieber uploaded a facetime screenshot of her and Kylie zooming in on the camera with perfectly arched eyebrows to her Instagram account. Kylie received criticism from her followers for disparaging Selena on social media.

She wrote, “This is reaching. No shade towards Selena.” After all the fiasco”.

Selena decided to take a much-needed break from TikTok and told fans: “I’m 30 and am too old for this. But I love you so much and I’ll see you guys sooner than later. “I’m just going to take a break from everything.”
