Piyush Mishra, a seasoned actor, spoke candidly about a painful event from his early years in which he was sexually molested by a female relative roughly 50 years ago. He was in the sixth standard when the tragedy occurred. In his autobiographical work Tumhari Auqaat Kya Hai Piyush Mishra, Piyush made reference to this occurrence.

Piyush Mishra stated in a recent interview with PTI that despite the incident having a significant influence on his life, he has never desired to exact “revenge” on the offender. According to him, having a positive first experience with sex is essential since having a negative first experience might leave you scarred and troubled for the rest of your life. It took me a long time and multiple partners for me to recover from that sexual attack, which caused me to have complexes for the rest of my life. I wanted to keep certain people’s identities a secret. These include both men and women who have achieved success in the film industry. I didn’t want to injure anyone or exact revenge on them.

His book details his multi-decade journey into the Indian cinema industry as well as the many obstacles he had to overcome before becoming well-known among viewers. “Long ago, I had the desire to create a novel, but that desire is now fulfilled. I don’t want to continue being a music director or singing. I want to do more than just perform. I’m thinking about film direction right now. That is a topic I wish to research. Let’s see if that occurs “the seasoned performer said.

Actor, singer, and composer Piyush Mishra’s autobiography is told through the perspective of Santap Trivedi, or Hamlet, as he was known at the National School of Theatre, where he received his training (NSD). Even though his father pushed him to pursue a career in medicine, Piyush discusses his passion in acting and theatre in the book. At the age of 20, after dropping out of college under pressure from his father, he made the decision to join NSD. He is well-known for his work in the films Maqbool (2004) by Vishal Bhardwaj, Gulaal (2009) by Anurag Kashyap, and most famously Gangs of Wasseypur (2012), in which he portrayed the narrator.
