A video of Shilpa Shetty’s Holika Dahan celebration at home, which included her two children Vivaan and Samisha, husband Raj Kundra, and other family members, has been published online. The celebration that was observed the day before the festival of colors was observed in some areas of India on Monday and will be observed in the remaining portions on Tuesday. Shilpa also discussed a ceremony they perform on this day to rid themselves of all negativity.

In the video, Shilpa can be seen praying in front of the Holika with her hands folded, doing a ritualistic parikrama around it, and throwing grains into it. Raj Kundra and her mother may be seen standing next to her. Samisha is seen wearing a navy blue kurta and white pajamas, while her son Vivaan is dressed in a white kurta pajama and a blue jacket.

Shilpa shared the video and added, “Holika Dahan. We write down all of our unfavorable emotions and thoughts on little slips of paper and release them into the universe as love and light. We perform this ritual on Holika dahan each year. This holiday serves as a reminder that when you have faith and dedication, God will always defend you and you will defeat evil, reducing negativity to ashes and illuminating your life with colors of love and positivity. May this Holi bring you and your loved ones joy, wealth, and good health. Aap sabhi ko holi ki shubhkamnayein (greetings of Holi to all of you). The hashtags “Holi” and “My Holiday” are used in this sentence.

Many of her followers left comments on her blog wishing her a happy Holi. The burning of bamboo on Holi was criticized by many, while Shilpa’s wearing of jootis (shoes) while honoring Holi was criticized by others. In accordance with Hindu law, burning bamboo sticks is not permitted. Happy Holi, said a comment. “Remove your footwear first”, read another. “More strength, courage, power, and good health inside out constantly,” one fan said. More peace and color, always… Cheers to Holi! That’s why I like her since she honors all rituals, another person said.

Shilpa will now appear in Indian Police Force, her first online series. In the Rohit Shetty film, which also features Sidharth Malhotra and Vivek Oberoi, she portrays a police officer.
