Sofia Carson travelling with entire family for Oscars
After receiving a nomination for Applause at the 2023 Oscars for Best Original Song, Sofia Carson is still overjoyed. The singer will be supported at the awards show by her entire family.
Both the lead of The Descendants and Diane Warren, who composed the tune for the American-Italian anthology movie Tell It Like a Woman, have received nominations. Multi-platinum recording artist Carson put out her first album in 2022. Warren, however, receives her 14th Oscar nomination overall for “Applause”. It is really unbelievable, Carson said to E! News.
“The fact that Diane chose me to be the voice of this anthem is the biggest honour of my life, and I am really appreciative, happy, and just deeply, deeply, deeply humbled. Daily, I pinch myself.”
At the Oscars 2023 ceremony on March 12, Sofia will perform her hits alongside this year’s Best Original Song nominees Rihanna (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), Lady Gaga (Top Gun), Stephanie Hsu, Son Lux, and David Byrne (Everything Everywhere All at Once), and Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava (RRR).
I am truly savouring every second of this amazing experience, she continued. It is incredible that Lady Gaga and Rihanna, two artists we like, are also nominees. It is really incredible. About the big night, she said, “My mom and grandparents are travelling out with me. The best gift in the world will be having my sister by my side since they witnessed their 3-year-old Sofia dreaming.
