Dwayne Johnson aka “The Rock” recently gave fans an exciting sneak peek into the highly anticipated film Moana 2, directed by Derrick Jr. This revelation comes just two months after Disney CEO Bob Iger announced that the sequel was in the works.

During his appearance at Cinemacon, Dwayne Johnson shared his enthusiasm for reprising his role as Maui in the upcoming installment, stating, “As we say on the island, aloha, playing the character of Maui is one of the most life-changing life experiences for me and life-changing roles.”

Reflecting on the significance of his character, Johnson emphasized, “It’s so much deeper than a movie to me and I know it’s deeper for Disney, too.” He also revealed that his character’s tattoos are inspired by his own, and the role holds special significance as it resonates with his cultural heritage and his grandfather’s legacy.

Set to release on November 27, 2024, Moana 2 continues the story of the courageous Moana as she embarks on a new journey, answering the call of her ancestors and navigating perilous waters for an unexpected adventure.

The highly anticipated sequel promises to captivate audiences once again with its rich storytelling and vibrant animation, offering a fresh chapter in the beloved Moana franchise.
