Shaheen Shah Afridi, a prominent figure in cricket and beloved by fans, has recently embraced a new chapter in his life. The young cricketer, who has been making waves both nationally and in league cricket, is now celebrating the birth of his first child. Shaheen and his wife, Ansha Afridi, have welcomed a son into their family.

The couple’s baby boy’s arrival has been warmly received, with many extending their congratulations, including the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and other cricketers. The baby boy has been named Aliyar Shaheen Shah Afridi, a name that signifies the beginning of a new and cherished chapter for the Afridi family.

The joyous news was swiftly shared by major news channels across Pakistan, sparking widespread celebration among cricket fans and the Afridi family’s admirers.

In July, it was reported that Shaheen and Ansha were expecting their first child. Pakistan’s red-ball coach, Jason Gillespie, had speculated that Shaheen might miss the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh due to the impending birth. “Shaheen can miss Bangladesh Test matches due to childbirth,” Gillespie noted. “We can give him [some] rest if he wants to stay with his wife till then,” he added.

Shaheen tied the knot with Ansha Afridi, the daughter of the legendary cricketer Shahid Afridi, in February 2023, after being engaged for two years.
